Art Or Just Random Lines?

Should abstract be considered art or just a bunch of random lines anyone can make?
My Point Of View: If I were to hand in abstract "art" to my teacher he would probably fail me and accuse me of rushing through my work. I've been to art gallaries and to be quite honest I just don't see what's so great about it.

OK so an interesting disscussion took place between my friend in I. Which was: Who should be blamed for underage children playing video games that are rated M? The Manufacturers, the parents, or the children themselves?
